Types of Sea/Ocean Freight Services
- Full Container Load (FCL):
- One shipper uses the entire container (20ft, 40ft, or 40ft HC).
- Ideal for large volume shipments.
- Less than Container Load (LCL):
- Cargo from multiple clients consolidated into one container.
- Cost-effective for smaller loads.
- Roll-On/Roll-Off (RoRo):
- Shipping vehicles (machinery, cars, trucks, buses) that roll onto and off the ship.
- Breakbulk / Project Cargo:
- Oversized or heavy cargo that doesn’t fit in containers (e.g., machinery, turbines).
- Reefer Container Shipping:
- Temperature-controlled containers for perishables (fruits, fish, meat, pharmaceuticals).
- Tanker & Bulk Shipping:
- For liquid cargo (oil, chemicals) or dry bulk (grains, coal, fertilizer).
